The Spanish Connection 
 
I feel a Spanish connection 
It's heading in my direction 
Its feeling good 
Like I knew that it would 
 
A musical connection 
With love & affection 
Travelling across the ocean 
True musical devotion 
 
Friends united in one cause 
But bringing so much more 
If the world was like this 
There would be no more wars 
 
We are friends coming together 
We are friends united forever 
Dancing & singing to the music that we love 
Friends this good must have been sent from high above 
 
 
 
NOTE: I wrote this whilst thinking about my Spanish friends Angel, Mercedes & Luis who I met via the internet.  We all love the same band Deacon Blue and lead singer Ricky Ross. The internet is known for so many bad things, but I believe that used properly it is a great tool for bringing people together, for literally reaching out across the world and forming friendships. The more we meet & understand each other the more we realise that we are all the same inside. We can make the world seem smaller we can make the world a better place. So Angel Luis & Mercedes this I dedicate to you my special Spanish friends.
